Meet Dr. Susan Gorman

Dr. Susan Gorman envisioned building a center that cared for a woman’s entire health – body, mind, spirit and family – under one roof. She realized that goal in early 2005 and has been busy providing the highest quality care to women in Central Oregon ever since.

As a woman and director of The Women's Center, Dr. Gorman understands firsthand how complex a woman’s reproductive health is and what it takes to provide the most technologically advanced and minimally invasive solutions to an array of gynecologic problems.

She is a Board Certified Gynecologist and has been practicing medicine for more than 15 years. Dr. Gorman is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. She is also a member of the International Society of Clinical Densitometry, trained and certified to perform the medical field's gold standard bone density screening. Dr. Gorman is currently the only surgeon in Central Oregon offering the Novasure ablation in office and Laparoscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy (LSH).

Dr. Gorman's expertise recently merited an invitation to become a fellow of the Pacific Coast Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, an elite group of researchers, professors, doctors and surgeons who specialize in women's health care on the West Coast.

She received her medical degree from Loyola University in Chicago before completing her residency at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital at the University of Southern California. Dr. Gorman worked for several years in Orange County after her residency and then moved with her family to Central Oregon in 2000. Her experience and friendly bedside manner quickly earned her a reputation as one of the top surgeons in the area.

When Dr. Gorman isn't taking care of her patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, volunteering, competing in sprint triathlons, skiing, horseback riding and playing piano.
