Meet Amy McElroy FNP

Nurse Amy McElroy knew she wanted to be a nurse in the field of women's health long before she received her BA and MA in Nursing. An overwhelming desire to help others combined with a passion for science led Amy to take nursing classes as an undergraduate at Oregon State University, after which she attended Oregon Health Sciences University to complete her BS in Nursing. Not content with just a BS, Amy went on to complete her Masters degree in Nursing at Wasington State University.

With more than 15 years of professional nursing experience, Amy was a natural choice to help Dr. Gorman build The Women's Center, which has a similar vision to Amy's for providing superlative health care for women. She joined the center in January 2005.

Amy's innate desire to help others comes through when you first meet her. A naturally attentive listener, Amy takes the time to make sure every patient is comfortable and that all her needs are met. Amy's thoroughness and attention to providing the highest quality care allows her to build lasting relationships with each and every patient.

She belongs to the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Nurse practitioners Group of Central Oregon, Oregon Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Society.

When Amy isn't busy caring for patients, she's even busier keeping up with her three young children and husband, skiing, hiking and camping.
